Indiana Jones Trailer Stirs Hype
Nineteen years after riding off into the sunset in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Harrison Ford is back and looking heroic. (Courtesy YouTube)
You may or may not know this — but Harrison Ford is a hero. And not just in the glitzy, Hollywood way, even though he was voted greatest action hero of all time (alongside Bruce Willis) with Govenorator Arnold Schwarzenegger coming in third — but in the way of being instrumental in a real-life rescue operation.
Hikers Sarah George, 20, and Megan Freeman, 22, were on a five-hour climb of Table Mountain in Idaho when heat, altitude and dehydration struck Sarah and she was unable to take more than a couple steps. After another hiker called for help on a cell phone, Harrison Ford was on his way in his private helicopter. When he can, the actor donates his time, helicopter and piloting skills to rescue operations to save the county money from hiring a private pilot.
Ford landed his chopper in a meadow and picked up the ailing hiker.
"He was wearing a T-shirt and a cowboy hat," said Sarah, who didn't know Ford was the pilot until an emergency medical technician on board made it clear. "He didn't look like I'd ever seen him before."
