Could the love affair between the nation's most hated couple be on the fritz? Sources say yes. Apparently Jessica Simpson is too much of a diva for Tono Romo.

"Tony has finally started to realize how high-maintenance Jessica is," Simpson's friend said to OK! magazine. "We're talking diva status. She comes with an entourage, and that includes her dad, Joe Simpson. What's not to love?"

Apparently Romo tried to break off their romance, but to no avail.

"He said he thought it was better if they went back to being friends," the source said. "'Just friends' is not in Jessica's vocabulary, and she is not a victim. She knows how bad this will look in the media."

Angry that she wasn't "getting it," Romo invited her on a hunting trip.

"It's Tony's way of punishing Jess," the snitch said. "Jessica Simpson hunting — and without her entourage? Forget it!"
