Jason Castro Has Rough Night on 'American Idol'
For Jason Castro, forgetting the lyrics was the nail in the coffin. (Courtesy YouTube)
Poor Jason Castro might have had the worst night a contestant has ever had on American Idol. First, he sang Bob Marley's "I Shot the Sheriff" and was utterly crucified by the judges. Simon Cowell even warned Castro to stand back before he unleashed some of the meanest criticisms ever offered on the show.
In a truly awesome moment, Jason flipped Simon's "What were you thinking?" by retorting, "I was thinking Bob Marley!"
During his next performance of Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man," Castro forgot the lyrics.
Jason might be more over his Idol stint than the judges are. When Ryan Seacrest read off his phone numbers, Jason mouthed the words "Don't vote!"
As usual, David Archuleta dominated the night where the top four had choose and perform songs from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of 500 songs "that shaped rock."
