Jennifer Hudson Lip Sync is Super Bowl Hit

So unless you're a total cold fish, we're assuming you got chills during Jennifer Hudson's performance of the The Star-Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl yesterday. We did too (though we also got chills when the Boss' 60-year-old crotch came hurtling towards us). So it would be a lie if we said we weren't a little disappointed to hear that she lip-synched.

Pre-game show producer Ricky Minor says that both Hudson and Faith Hill, who sang America the Beautiful, lip-synched to pre-recorded tracks he'd had them record and submit a week prior to the game.

"That's the right way to do it," Minor said. "There's too many variables to go live."

After the performance, Minor said Hudson asked him, "How did I do?"

"I told her, 'Touchdown!'" he said.

Did Springsteen lip-synch? And what are these "variables" that could go wrong? Was she wearing skates?

    EVERYONE LIPSYNCHS THE ANTHEM AT THE SUPERBOWL. WHY IS IT SUCH A BIG DEAL WHEN JENNIFER DOES IT? SHE DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB CONSIDERING HER CIRCUMSTANCES. ..AND NO IM NOT ON THE BANDWAGON BECAUSE OF HER TRAGEDY. SHE'S A WONDERFUL R&B ARTIST.

    I absolutly loved her proformance the best ever since i can remember. That girl can sing and she got heart, if only people could be as confident and strong as this beautiful woman; t he world would be a better place. I w2ould listen to her sing the Anthem all day if i could, because it sounded that good.

    I loved it. It was t he best singing i heard since i first started watching the SuperBowl. This beautiful woman can sing anad she song her heart out lasy night at the game.

    You're full of it. Billy Joel did NOT lip sync a few years ago while doing it, AND he played the piano at the same time. The biggest difference between him and these two women is that he actually has talent, and that Minor guy is full of it if he thinks it SHOULD be lip synced. That's fake and it's crap, and when you can't truly sing I suppose lip syncing is the best option.
    Some of you are saying how good Hudson's performance was…..of course it was!!! It was taped in a studio!! There's no reason it shouldn't have been good. You people have no idea what really talent is.
