As usual, things are going from bad to worse for Jessica Simpson, who apparently suffered a meltdown last night when she opened for Rascal Flatts in Grand Rapids.
Apparently, Simpson was thrown off when her Dallas Cowboys quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo missed his flight and didn't show up for her gig. She wound up telling the crowd, "I'm so excited, I get to see my boyfriend tomorrow. He's the person who makes me relax."
However, according to concert-goers, Simpson's set went awry when she stopped singing during her song With You to chug some water and let her backup singers took over the lead vocals. After the song, Simpson "seemed a little embarrassed and said it's difficult to be on stage and be so vulnerable."
Simpson also seemed to have problems with her ear monitors and lost her place in several of her other songs, making her band start over again during one of them. The cherry on top was when she forgot the lyrics to her song, Come on Over.
At the end of her set, Simpson reportedly told the crowd that she felt like walking off the stage. She thanked her band for having her back, and was wiping away some tears as she walked off.
