He was serious, you guys. Retired actor Joaquin Phoenix threatened to become a rapper, and he actually followed through.

Dressed in his best can you spare some change? threads, Phoenix jumped around and dropped rhymes like a white dude on drugs. Yes, with the crowd cheering him on, Phoenix performed like he'd just finished the first chapter of Rapping for Dummies. On the sidelines, the tragic scene was filmed by fledgling director, Casey Affleck, who is following Phoenix's struggle to achieve rap superstardom for a documentary. Man, that's going to be golden. Start popping the popcorn, folks.
