John McCain Finally Visits Saturday Night Live

Tina Fey does a wicked Sarah Palin, but we're thinking that maybe it's getting just a little bit old. Good thing, too, considering the election is only three days away.
Over in the better-late-than-never camp, however, John McCain's campaign wizzards worked hard to get the Republican presidential candidate on SNL in hopes of catching some last-minute votes. Was it any good? Sure. But it won't come close to hitting the kind of numbers Sarah Palin's visit brought. Tina Fey's popular political parody of Sarah Palin — along with Palin's personal visit — brought SNL its highest ratings in 14 years. Ah well. At the very least both candidates are reaching an audience that may not have otherwise given the election (or voting) a second thought.
