Jon Gosselin is consulting a higher authority.

There were terrible, terrible rumors going around that Jon Gosselin and Octomom Nadya Suleman were going to have their own reality show entitled, Jon – Kate = Jon + Octomom. However, Jon has had time to have a long, hard think about this career decision and has come up with the surprising decison to opt against famewhoring.

The premise of the show was that Jon Gosselin and Octomom would date – a premise that Octomom was extremely in favor of, but one that Gosselin was grossed out by.

Jon's agent sent a letter to the producers of Jon – Kate = Jon + Octomom which read, "While Jon appreciates the consideration and the potential revenues that it offers, after reviewing with both the management team and his spiritual advisors Jon has decided it is not in his best interest to pursue a show of this nature. It is important to Jon to focus on his family and repairing the relationship that Jon and Kate need to have, both for themselves and for the sake of their children."

Jon also released a statement, telling the public that he is turning over a new leaf and becoming more spiritual. In the statement, Jon says: "I have endeavored of late to reconnect with my deeper, more spiritual, more altruistic self with regular study sessions and counseling with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, whose morality-centered-and-values-based advice, coupled with his profound commitment to fatherhood and family, I deeply respect.”

In other "spiritual advisers" news, it appears that Jon has also been advised to dump his girlfriend, Hailey Glassman.

Hailey recently told The Insider that Jon apparently has "mantrums." Hailey said, "He'll call me and take his anger out on me. He has 'mantrums.' I shouldn't have to put up with being emotionally abused. I cry and say, 'Why are you so mean to me? Sometimes he has trouble with the truth, and he will dance and dance around his lies. He's like Jekyll and Hyde. But I still love him. I don't want to leave him all alone. At the end of the day, I love him but I dislike him at times. When I love someone I would never hurt them."
