After making headlines last week for headbutting her brother at a church baptism, British soul singer Joss Stone is back this week when reports surfaced that the 21-year-old singer was asked to record a theme song to be used for Barack Obama's presidential campaign.

According to U.K.'s The Sun, Obama approached Stone personally because he was impressed by her appeal to both black and white voters in America. "Joss is a big supporter of Barack Obama and was very excited to be asked to do this for him," said a source. "He sent a personal message asking her to get on board.

"He has always admired her music and thinks she is the perfect choice because of her unique appeal to black and white voters.

"She believes he is going to be the first black American president and she is honored to be part of that."

Both Jay-Z and Alicia Keys have also reportedly dedicated songs to the presidential hopeful.
