Sore loser Kanye West leads the pack of Grammy Awards nominations with eight nods. The rapper is known for throwing hissy fits when he doesn't win (one hissy fit was made very public after he lost a MTV Video Music Award). West, who recently lost his mother, is nominated for album of the year and rap album of the year with "Graduation," to name a few.

Trainwreck soul singer Amy Winehouse received the second-highest number of nominations with six nods. The "Rehab" singer, who recently cancelled the remainder of her poorly-received U.K. tour, is also nominated for album of the year with "Back to Black."

Other artists nominated for some of this year's Grammys include Justin Timberlake, the Foo Fighters, Jay-Z and Timbaland - all with five nominations each.

First-time nominees include Feist, Paramore, Taylor Swift and Ledesi.

The 50th annual Grammy Awards will take place on Feb. 10, 2008 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
