Kristy Lee Cook Loses Horse and 'American Idol'

We had to suffer as Kristy Lee Cook whined about how she sold her horse. (Courtesy Fox)
Kristy Lee Cook's nine American Idol lives finally came to an end last night. But not after she complained yet again, that she wanted her horse back. This prompted Ryan Seacrest to appeal to the man that she'd sold it to, to please, give the poor girl her horse back. This is annoying on multiple levels. Let me explain:
Firstly, Cook said that she sold her beloved horse in order to fund a ticket to the auditions. What are plane fares going for these days? I can't comment on her financial situation, which obviously I know nothing about — but I do know that horses and plane tickets don't cost the same. Also, this was her only option? She couldn't get a part time job at the local Dunkin Donuts? She couldn't sell anything else? She couldn't get a loan from the old parental units? From the tape showing her at home, we could see that the family didn't live in a cardboard box.
Secondly, to assume she could just buy the horse back when it was all over was bad logic. Who buys a horse to turn around and sell it back to her? So dude… the guy who bought her horse… if you're reading this, don't sell it back to her. This girl obviously needs to learn some life lessons.
