Lance Armstrong and Anna Hansen Expecting

After overcoming testicular cancer, Lance Armstrong has beaten the odds by impregnating his girlfriend, Anna Hansen. Natural conception is rare and only happens to a small handful of survivors. Anna Hansen and Lance Armstrong met through charity work, and they have been quietly dating since after his relationship with Kate Hudson ended in July.

"Anna and I are thrilled to confirm that we are expecting in June and our families are ecstatic and grateful," Armstrong told The Associated Press. "We are very much looking forward to what 2009 brings on many fronts. We appreciate respecting our privacy, as we are both eager to celebrate the holidays as a family."

This will be the fourth child for multiple-time Tour de France champion. Armstrong froze his sperm prior to receiving treatment in 1996, and he has three other children with ex-wife Kristin, who conceived via in vitro.
