Country star LeAnn Rimes opens up in the newest issue of Fitness magazine about how she whittled her once-chubby body down to a finely-sculpted toothpick. "I wasn't taking care of my health," she says. "I was getting out of breath in the middle of the show… and sometimes I was getting really sick."

A successful country singer as a child, Rimes said that her life became sedentary while touring, reports People magazine. "I turned to food at times because I had nowhere else to get that love," the 25-year-old said.

But now, Rimes says that she no longer turns to food when feeling down. Instead, she's found "love" in her husband Dean Sheremet. "We both push each other to be better," she said.
