Lil Wayne Going to Jail for One Year

After playing a gig at the Beacon Theatre back in 2007, rapper Lil' Wayne was reportedly observed by cops smoking weed on his tour bus. When they searched the tour bus, they also found a .40-caliber pistol. Lil' Wayne (a.k.a Dwayne Carter) was cited for possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a weapon. The Grammy-winning rapper plead guilty to attempted weapon possession in New York City on Thursday, and will most likely receive a one-year jail sentence. He is going to jail as part of a plea deal to avoid a longer term behind bars as he could be sentenced to 3.5 years. He will be sentenced in February.

    i fkin love li wayne he is the most talented rappr ALIVE!!!!! i think its bullshit.every rapper needs protection and cumm on its no suprise he smokes weed.i know he needs to go to jail lyk everyone else but i think a yr or 8 to 10 months is way to long.ITS BUULLSHIT
