Max Payne Leads Box Office in Debut

Max Payne led the box office this weekend

The results for the highest grossing film of the weekend are in and its the film reincarnation of hit video game Max Payne taking home the top honors.

Featuring Mark Wahlberg as the disgruntled DEA agent looking to revenge the death of his family, Max Payne raked in $18M in its debut.

Also starring in the movie are Mila Kunis and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges.

In second on the weekend was Beverly Hills Chihuahua in its third weekend in theaters.

Rounding out the top three was The Secret Life of Bees while W. and Eagle Eye placed fourth and fifth respectively.

Also in the top ten were Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, horror flick Quarantine and the disappointing Leonadro DiCaprio movie, Body of Lies.

    i suspect the storyline for Max Payne is a lot more exciting when it's happening in the form of a video game except for those few exciting parts that i already saw in the preview, it was a snoozefest
