Three contestants emerged victorious on last night's American Idol. And Michael Sarver, who gave a lackluster performance of Gavin McGraw's "I Don't Wanna Be" on Tuesday, was the surprise pick, edging out Anoop Desai by 20,000 votes. Alexis Grace and Danny Gokey also made it to the final tweleve, but neither was a surprise.

When Sarver was asked what his oil company co-workers would think of his win, the father of two said, "They are either making fun of me for being a sissy or they are proud."

Resident basket case Tatiana Del Toro was thankfully sent packing – and sobbed through Danny Gokey's victory song. However, after the next two rounds of eliminations, contestants like Tatiana and Anoop could still grab one of three "wildcard" spots. Fox will air a special episode that will feature the judges' favorite contestants battling it out for a shot at the finals. The episode is scheduled to air on Thursday, March 5.
