Naomi Campbell's hero, Nelson Mandela, has personally banned the diva from appearing on stage at his 90th birthday concert in London.
Apparently, when Campbell was arrested for being an awful, awful human being on a British Airways flight, she was sporting a "46664″ baseball cap, the numbers of which represent Mandela's prison number during his 27-year incarceration. Campbell is an avid supporter of The Nelson Mandela Foundation.
An insider told The Daily Mail, "'The man himself intervened and she was pulled off the list. He was disappointed with her recent arrest – particularly as she was wearing a 46664 baseball cap at the time."
The insider goes on to say, "Naomi was slated to introduce some of the acts on stage as she has done with 46664 concerts in the past, but she has been informed that this time she can only sit in the grandstand."
Campbell and Mandela have been friends for ten years and Campbell has referred to Mandela as her "honorary grandfather." Apparently, after a while, the honor of being a grandfather to a spoiled, bi-polar beast of a woman starts to wear off. No word on whether Campbell will beat her assistant with a cell phone in retaliation.
