It is the tenth anniversary of the Columbine tragedy today and Oprah Winfrey was planning to air an memorial episode for those who lost their lives by airing a special episode today entitled, 10 Years Later: The Truth about Columbine. However, Winfrey announced via Twitter that she has canceled the show, because it gave too much publicity to the killers, who, in mass killings such as this, tend to be looking for attention when they commit these sorts of crimes.

"I decided to pull the Columbine show today. After reviewing it, I thought it focused too much on the killers. Today, hold a thought for the Columbine community. This is a hard day for them."

Author Dave Cullen is most likely seriously bummed about this turn of events – as he was on the show peddling his book on Columbine which hits the shelves of bookstores today. A show about a woman recently released from prison will air instead.
