You know you’re infamous when Oprah Winfrey dedicates an episode of her show to addressing your transgression. If that’s a suitable definition then please welcome Chris Brown to the list of the world’s most infamous people.
Oprah has become the latest celebrity to throw her opinion into the Chris Brown and Rihanna ring. She and her friend Gayle King were recently up in arms after hearing the gruesome account of how severely Brown beat Rihanna and the news that she is still seeing him.
"Chris Brown and Rihanna, if I was your friend, I would call you up and I would say, 'Give it some time, get yourself some counseling, take care of yourself,' " Winfrey said during a live segment of last Friday’s Oprah Show. "'Heal yourself first."
She went on to caution Rihanna. "And also, love doesn’t hurt. I've been saying this to women for years: 'If a man hits you once, he will hit you again.' "
Regarding Oprah’s plans to dedicate a future show to discussing domestic violence she said, "It makes me so sad that I said to the producers, 'I want to do a show about it this week dedicated to all the Rihanna's of the world.'" She emphasized her concern over the issue by quoting the statistic that one out of four women in the U.S. are battered.

I don't think we should tell Rihanna to avoid Chris Brown because you never know, people change all the time.
And I think it's wrong to judge people like that, maybe he did realize what an idiot he was being by attempting to murder Rihanna. We're people, and we all make mistakes. Wouldn't you want people to think you could change? I know I would. – Anonymous
