Patrick Swazye Reportedly Diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer

There has been a sad but unconfirmed revelation out of Hollywood today. According to reports, actor Patrick Swayze has been battling pancreatic cancer since January at Stanford University's cancer center.

The National Enquirer reports that after three doses of chemotherapy the tumor shrank, but doctors were not happy with the level it reached and have told the actor they expect his only has 5 weeks to live.

However, Swayze's publicist has yet to confirm these reports, and Perezhilton has cited:

"Patrick has been at rehearsals for a new cheer leading movie at century city studio frequently lately, and he definitely does not look like he has 5 more weeks of life left…im not sure of his medical condition(s), but if he is gravely ill, he is hiding it very well."

Update:

The actor's publicist released this statement:

"Actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick's physician Dr. George Fisher states, 'Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.' Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family."

    My heart goes out to this man but there have been millions of others that have lost loved ones to the same type of cancer and got no acknowledgement at all like my 26 year old beautiful son less than a year ago Oh yes how could I be so foolish he was not a star in your eyes only mine pain of the heart is the same whether you have money or not
