NBC seemed to bill the battle between the all-American cowboy, Trace Adkins, and the ruthless British business man as a battle of good vs. evil — a rather unfair labeling if you ask The Beat. However, "evil" prevailed as Piers Morgan, who butted heads with many of the celebrities on the show, most notably Omarosa, took the Celebrity Apprentice crown. Piers, who in a previous episode had lost his mind when Omarosa had called him a bad father for apparently no reason, was dead-set on getting revenge and annihilated Omarosa, which Trump dubbed "the biggest slaughter in the history of The Apprentice."

Announcing Morgan the winner, Trump said: “You’re a vicious guy, I’ve seen it… You’re tough, you’re smart, you’re probably brilliant, I’m not sure, you’re certainly not diplomatic but you did an amazing job and you beat the hell out of everybody.”

For his win, Morgan earned an additional $250,000 for his charity, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund which so far, has provided close to $20 million to families of United States military personnel lost in performance of their duty. The Fund provided unrestricted grants to each spouse, child and parents of service members.

In 2004, Morgan was fired from his position at the British tabloid the Daily Mirror after publishing photos that were exposed as fakes of British troops abusing Iraqi prisioners. Critics said the images put troops at risk and damaged their reputation.
