Legendary singer Prince is getting old. The 49-year-old performer is reportedly undergoing hip replacement surgery after suffering from excruciating pain, according to Female First.

"For months, Prince, who always puts on the most energetic shows, has been complaining of pain every time he moves," a source told Britain's News of the World newspaper. "He is totally crushed because he knows he will never be the same again."

According to Female First, the hip replacement will involve "removing the ball and socket of Prince's damaged hip and replacing it with a titanium joint." Sexy.

The "Purple Rain" singer is set to check into a private hospital for the procedure.
