The Cook County Criminal Court Building in Chicago was a place where major drama went down today when rapper R. Kelly was acquitted on all fourteen charges of child pornography.

A jury, who deliberated for less than one day, concluded today that Kelly was innocent of urinating on a 13-year-old girl in a sex tape that came out over six years ago. The alleged victim in the tape claimed that it wasn't her, sealing the acquittal for 41-year-old Kelly.

"There wasn't enough evidence," Kelly's defense lawyer Edward Genson said in a press conference after the verdict.

"What happened today when those verdicts started [was] you got to see the real Robert Kelly. He sat there and he was contrite. He sat there and he was crying," said another defense lawyer Sam Adam.

In 1994, Kelly married Aaliyah, an up-and-coming singer who he managed, when she was just 15-years-old. Her parents annulled the marriage and she died in a plane crash in 2001.

"He sat there and was thanking God. All I heard the entire time those 14 verdicts were being read was thank you Jesus," Adam said. "He is a deeply religious man."
