When it comes to elections, it's pretty safe to say we know who the Southern and Middle Americans will be voting for. However, self-proclaimed "redneck" Tony Wiesman, 74, has had a change of heart and now, he's trying to spread the message to other rural Americans that change isn't always a bad thing.
With his best friend Les Spencer, Tony started "Rednecks for Obama" and are trying to spread the word via bumper stickers and campaigning to tell their fellow rednecks that Obama is OK.
"I didn't expect it would get as much steam and attention as it's gotten," Spencer told AFP on the campus of Washington University in Saint Louis.
"We believe in him. He's the best person for the job," Wiesman, a former state trooper from Missouri said of Obama.
