Rosie O'Donnell's reign atop controversial mountain will soon be over after terms of her contract could not be settled between herself and ABC. "The View" is spectacular when standing on top of this mountain made from rock hard ratings, but with O'Donnell gone, will the "View" be as good?

O'Donnell was very out-spoken with her opinions each morning on the show from the war in Iraq to her widely open feud with billionaire, Donald Trump. O'Donnell and co-host / co-owner of the show, Barbara Walters announced her departure on this morning's show.

Walters was quoted as saying, "I induced Rosie to come back to television on 'The View' even just for one year. She has given the program new vigor, new excitement and wonderful hours of television. I can only be grateful to her for this year."

O'Donnell did say that she will be on the show frequently next season as a guest-host. Before she does leave however, Alec Baldwin has agreed to be a guest on the show after his very public voicemail message on his daughter's phone.

At least Rosie gets to make the choice to change her career, where as people like Sanjaya don't really have that freedom. What do you think Sanjaya Malakar's next career move will be? Bet on it at Bodog's Sportsbook!
