Salma Hayek Calls Off Engagement to Francois Henri Pinault

Actress Salma Hayek and French billionaire Francois Henri Pinault have reportedly called off their engagement.

"We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois Henri Pinault has been canceled," a rep for Hayek said in a statement to USA Today. "There will be no further comment."

The two had been dating since meeting in Venice in May 2006 and had been engaged since last March. The couple have a daughter, Valentina, born last September.

"Do you think we are going to get married?" Hayek asked in the April issue of Glamour magazine. "Probably. Will it make a difference? I hope not.

"You want to grow old with someone, you want to have a partner and to have children - we have all those things," Hayek continued. "Some people need the commitment. Maybe we'll just make the party!"
