If Sarah Palin's new VP wardrobe is any indication of Republican spending, then Barack Obama being ahead in the polls will be great for the economy. The McCain-Palin campaign reportedly dropped a shocking $150K on clothes and accessories for her and her family since she was put on the ticket in August.
According to financial records obtained by Politico.com, Palin's fashion spending started in early September.
The spending on so-called "campaign accessories" included bills from Saks Fifth Avenue in St Louis and New York that came to a total of $49,425. There here were also a plethora of Neiman Marcus charges in Minneapolis, including one for more than $75,000. That's a lot of red power suits! The Republican National Committee also spent $44,716 on Palin's hair and make-up in September.
The McCain campaign issued a statement as criticism mounted.
"With all the important issues facing the country right now, it's remarkable that we're spending time talking about pantsuits and blouses," said a McCain spokesman. "It was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign."

Just another Hockey Mom? She supposedly feels for all the regular Joe Six-packs out there? I think not. Hockey moms and Joe Six-packs aren't spending $150K on clothing, hair, and make-up. Hilarious!
And this with John McCain losing count of how many mansions he owns or how many luxury cars. Hypocrisy at its best.
Obama/Biden 08!!!
