Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots had a seizure on an American Airlines flight. Weiland had a seizure while flying from Los Angeles to Miami, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Weiland he was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures, however he apparently has a history of seizures.

Weiland has had quite the rock star rap sheet. He was arrested in '95 for buying crack, domestic violence in '01, as well as DUIs in '03 and '08. No word on whether or not the seizures are related to his issues with substance abuse. Weiland is reportedly well and will be attending the launch of his clothing line "Weiland for English Laundry" on today.

Weiland left his band Velvet Rolver in 2008, citing "ego" as the main reason, telling MTV: "Velvet Revolver fell apart because there were too many big egos in the band – and I'm including myself. It wasn't necessarily about bad egos, just big egos, and unfortunately, it just mistakenly kind of eroded."
