No more reputable a source than Nick D’Urso says a “Sopranos” movie is coming. So you better believe it. You may not have heard of D’Urso, but trust us his word is as good as the piss that comes out of the Trevi Fountain. D’Urso is big time in and around the metropolitan region of Lodi, N.J.
He runs a little establishment called Satin Dolls, which served as a front for the Bada Bing Club in the popular HBO show. D’Urso said he was going to make renovations to his joint but decided to hold everything when he got a “tip” that a movie was in the works.
"I got an inside tip that they're going to do a movie, so I don't want to make any major changes," D'Urso told reporters this week. "I'm not going to reveal my sources, but we got a call from somebody [working] on the script."
HBO has reportedly denied there’s any truth to D’Urso’s claim.
Even if the film takes place one thing from the television series that will be missing is the bronze-colored stripper poles at Satin Dolls/Bada Bing. D’Urso says he’s already replaced those. Shame, we were really captivated by the tint on the poles.
