There was a tragic accident on the set of Madonna's Sticky & Sweet tour at Velodrome Stadium in Marseille, France on Thursday morning. Apparently, a crane collapsed and fell on top of workers during the installation of the stage for her Sunday concert killing one worker and leaving six injured. The Marseille show has since been canceled.

TMZ reports, "the stage collapsed on a crane — which, in turn, fell on top of the workers. Fire officials in Marseille tell us two of the injured workers are in critical condition — one is an American."

Madonna has issued a statement: "I am devastated to have just received this tragic news. My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news."
