Starbucks is jumping on the free shit for voters bandwagon and is handing out free coffees to voters on November 4th. Just go in there and ask for your free tall brew.
Starbucks rep Jenny McCabe said their goal for running a National ad during SNL promoting the free coffee was to, "support our customers who care about the same things we do and who want to make a difference. Placing a TV ad on SNL was simply an opportunity to reach the broadest audience possible in the shortest time."
The hand-out is the company's latest effort to earn some publicity during a rough economic time. The chain recently closed stores after their first-ever drop in quarterly profits, a $6.7 million decrease.
In other freebee news, an sex shop is giving away sex toys and Krispy Kreme is giving away star shaped doughnuts with sprinkles. Will you be voting tomorrow? If you're not, you should at least bet.

So sure, a cup of coffee or a doughtnut for voting is nice. But there’s one truly significant break out there. Cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Mitch Goldman is offering 20% off any procedure or treatment this week for voting. Now, to be perfectly legal under California state law, it’s on the honor system and anyone can make the request during Election Week. This takes the free coffee and treats offer to a whole new level. This could easily be worth several hundred bucks – we’re talking Botox, laser treatments, you name it. Dr. G. says he’s doing his part to support democracy and beautify America. Get out the vote, get out the wrinkles? I’ll vote for that.
