Susan Boyle Hospitalized

There was a bit of a scandal over the weekend, when Britain's Got Talent's bonafide superstar went home a runner-up. Susan Boyle lost out to a dance troupe, Diversity and although she smiled a graciously congratulated them, the news today that she has been hospitalized over the stress of it all suffering from an emotional breakdown.

The Sun reports, “The singer, dubbed SuBo, had an ‘emotional breakdown’ following Saturday’s final in which she was runner-up.”

Staffers from the show called paramedics after they noticed Boyle acting strangely. The Sun says, "Paramedics helped the "spaced-out" star through the lobby and into an ambulance just after 6pm. A Met Police Inspector and a police doctor were called to assist. The ambulance, tailed by a police car, then took her to the Priory in Southgate, North London."

Judge Piers Morgan said, "Obviously we're concerned about Susan at the moment. I spoke to her yesterday and she's absolutely exhausted and just needs a good break. She's physically, mentally and emotionally drained. She'd been getting pressure from all over the world. I'm not sure what happened after the result was announced on Saturday. She was getting agitated about the amount of attention she was getting."

    Susan I sincerely wish you all the very best and hope that you are able to have the good rest you need. Any one of us would be exhausted and stressed had we been the subject to all the furor of the past few weeks that you have been experiencing. I hope the media will have the good grace to leave you alone. In my opinion, anyone not doing so should be charged with harassment.

    Susan, you are just perfect the way you are. Millions of people all over the world fell in love with the Susan they first met on your audition tape. We do not care if you were first or second on Britain's Got Talent, we simply know you are wonderful and your voice is heavenly. Susan, millions of us all over the world will wait patiently for your eventual album. When you are ready,,, we simply want to buy it to share and celebate your happiness and joy.
