Even though Susan Boyle may have reached a height of fame only seen by Oprah and Sanjaya Malakar, she somehow lost Britain's Got Talent to a street hiphop dance-troupe called the Diversity Dancers.
After a difficult week of meltdowns and threats to leave the show, Boyle took the stage and sang the song that earned her instant fame, "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical based on the Victor Hugo novel, Les Miserables.
Judge Piers Morgan talked about Susan's latest struggles on the show, but declares that she has beaten her critics and can walk away, win or lose, with her head held high. When it was announced that the Diversity Dancers had won the show, Boyle took the news in stride and offered her signature shimmie. Perhaps the biggest upset in reality show history, Boyle humbly said, "The best people won."
Still a winner however, Boyle has secured a record deal with judge Simon Cowell. The Diversity Dancers are slated to perform before the Queen and will take home £100,000, about $160,000 US.
