The Bachelor and DeAnna

After a roseless finale, bachelor Brad Womack had some splaining to do. Both Jenni Croft and an angry DeAnna Pappas met with host Chris Harrison and a few hundred fan-girls to confront Womack on ABC's "After the Rose" show.

The girls insisted they were there to get answers, to get some closure — though DeAnna obviously had another agenda — to win Brad back.

Brad came out and told Chris Harrison that he never felt butterflies with either of the women. "I can wholeheartedly say that I'm more disappointed than anyone," he said. "My heart was broken."

Harrison then revealed that Brad had actually asked the network fly DeAnna's father out for the final ceremony, so Brad could ask for her hand in marriage. Brad apologized for this, and also admitted that his gut told him something was very wrong when he went to buy the ring. He then admitted that he had "a few problems," but that he wasn't gay.

When Jenni came out, Brad started to put his arm around her, then stopped himself. "Awk-ward." Brad told Jenni that his main issue was that while he was with her, he was thinking about DeAnna and vice-versa. When DeAnna came out, she told him she has hoped he won't let her walk away from him again tonight. Brad answered this by saying he was "very confident" in his decision. Burn. The strange part was at the end, when DeAnna left the stage in tears and Brad hugged her. His mic picked up what he whispered in her ear: "I'll miss you more than you'll ever know."

DeAnna responded with, "Please don't say that to me right now."

The natural conclusion to this anticlimatic non-rose bachelor was perhaps what Brad was trying to say — that he just wasn't that into these girls. But what's with the "missing you" sentiments? Do you think Brad is Johnny Issues? Stay tuned for Friday's Prop Culture article, which will uncover Brad Womack's curious state of bachelorhood.

I never watch these types of shows but my husband and i tuned in this season because the two finalists were nice looking women (according to my husband) Brad knew what he was getting into and he did the show and all of the women a dis-service by agreeing to go on. What a joke. I wish these women understood that he did them a favor. Another, emotionally unstable and dis-functional man. Probably has erectile disfunction and likes men. He is blue collar, not that attractive and there is a whole group of women in my San Francisco office who would touch him with a ten foot pole. I hate to call a spade a spade, but this guy is a LOSER
