We all know that Sarah Palin didn't really have the knowledge to earn herself the gig of Vice President; however Fox News (of all places) is claiming that Palin's lack of worldliness ran deeper than we thought.

Fox reports, "There was great concern in the McCain campaign that Sarah Palin lacked the degree of knowledge-ability necessary to be a running mate, a vice president, a heartbeat away from the presidency.

"We are told by folks that she didn't know what countries were in NAFTA. We're told that she didn't understand that Africa was a continent, rather than a country just in itself."

However, the Fox News' coverage cited anonymous McCain staffers who claimed Palin refused debate prep and didn't know what countries are in North America. Palin has since dismissed the story, saying a "small, evidently bitter type of person" made "foolish, false allegations."

That said, it wouldn't be that shocking if Palin thought Africa was a country, right? She's had trouble before.
