The Happening Reviews

The world has been rough to poor M. Night Shyamalan, who recently attempted to lower audiences expectations by claiming his latest flick, The Happening, is a "fun B-movie" (nice try, dude). Yesterday, with just a handful of reviews posted on Rottentomatoes.com, the movie was at a low, but not Gigli-low, 38 percent.

However, as more reviews come in, the lower the tomatometer drops. With Gigli sitting pretty at a 6 percent approval rating and The Happening now with only 12 percent, the question is — can The Happening be Gigli bad?

We at Bodog Beat are cheering for Shyamalan. We really want him to make a good movie for the simple reason that he really wants to make a good movie. However, with his new flick already lower on the tomatometer than his box-office bomb, Lady in the Water, (24 percent), things aren't looking up.

Hey, so if you're looking for a decent movie this weekend, Ku Fu Panda is killing it at 86 percent. The Hulk is doing well with a respectable 70 percent. Get all your movie betting in the Bodog Sportsbook today.
