Get ready to bust out your corsets, leopard-print spandex and ear plugs, yes the Spice Girls are going to re-cash in on their 15 minutes of pop star fame. The Spice Girls officially announced on Thursday that all five original members — Melanie Chisholm ("Sporty Spice"), 33, Emma Bunton ("Baby Spice") 32, and Melanie Brown ("Scary Spice"), 32, Geri Halliwell ("Ginger Spice"), 34, and 33-year-old Victoria Beckham ("Posh Spice") -– will reunite for 11 concerts around the world in December and January.
"Imagine you got divorced and you've got back together with your ex-husband," said Geri Halliwell ("Ginger Spice"), who quit the group to pursue a solo career in 1998.
"She just appreciates the fact we've let her back in," joked Beckham.
Mel B, 32, said of the press conference: "This is very civilized. We've really grown up, haven't we?"
Asked whether it was a comeback, she said: "Where did we go?" Ummm. Earth to Scary, you broke up in 2001, remember?
The Spice Girls claim the reason for their reunion was to say "thank you" to their fans. Don't they mean "fuck you"?
