Tom Cruise is Bombproof

Just when you thought celebrity salaries couldn't be any more grossly inflated, Tom Cruise has found a new way to make you queasy. Apparently — and by "apparently" we mean "In Touch says" Cruise is spending his dough in only the most supercilious places. Yes, just like the Pope (and most likely, Xenu), Cruise drives around in bullet and bombproof vehicles.
The 45-year-old Scientologist has a fleet of these cars and all are all unfortunately unbombable.
In Touch's "inside source," (who sounds pretty lame) argued in favor of Cruise's need for armored vehicles saying, “A-list celebrities know they can’t be too careful. Tom’s vehicles look perfectly normal, but in reality they are more like armored trucks. He really, really loves his cars and he can afford the best."
“Tom is a car nut,” the insider added. “He has practical everyday cars, classic collectibles and high-powered sports cars like the Porsche 911 Turbo. Of course he loves every minute behind the wheel, but he’s not stupid and he’s not going to take any chances while he’s driving.”
“It sounds like he’s taken a page out of one of his action movies,” explained the insider, which prompted the gag reflex from reporters.
While may Americans suffer the crippling financial effects of a recession – at least we'll be assured that those who act for a living will be driving around town, unbombable.

b) This "inside source" sounds like a fake, or a "frenemy" at best.
While may Americans suffer the crippling financial effects of a recession – at least we'll be assured that those reporting the news are focusing on trivial, irrelevant issues and blowing them up for the sake of sensationalism.

No problem, it's great to have people who think they have so much money that they can waste it. But I wonder how Cruise could hold for long, his last pictures have not made tons of money, and the planes and cars and $100000 ducati he buys added to the money spent on villas and anti-nuclear caves in his properties won't make it for long!
