The Belmont Stakes kicks off Saturday, June 7 and this morning the post positions were drawn for the big race.
Big Brown, winner of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes will be chasing the first Triple Crown in 30 years from the first position.
Although the star thoroughbred has had a cracked hoof for the last two weeks, his trainers don’t think it should be a problem come race day.
Here are the Belmont Stakes post positions:
- Big Brown takes the inside post position #1
- Guadalcanal will run from post position #2.
- Macho Again has post position #3.
- Denis of Cork has taken post position #4.
- Casino Drive takes the center position, #5.
- Da'Tara will run from post position #6.
- Tale of Ekati has taken post position #7.
- Anak Nakal will run from post position #8.
- Ready's Echo has position #9.
- Icabad Crane will run on the outside position, # 10.
