At 6:00pm on September 1st at closing time at Ellis Park, three man wearing bandannas entered the track’s Sky Theatre restaurant armed with a gun and attempted to rob the pari-mutuel clerks for two large bags containing the tracks handle for the day.

One of the clerks while in a scuffle with the robber for the bag of money knocked the gun to the floor and the other clerk called the police for help. The clerk in the scuffle only suffered minor scrapes and bruises, while the would-be robbers got away.

Owner Ron Geary said that no money was taken. Get all your online horse betting action in the Bodog Racebook today.
