Curlin Tops Breeders' Cup Pre-Entries List

The Breeders' Cup, which hosts fourteen races in two days, will see a record 180 horses which includes the reigning Horse of the Year Curlin, Japan's star Casino Drive, the undefeated filly Zenyatta, Ireland's Duke of Marmalade, and seven former or defending champions, who have been pre-entered for horse racing's big event, to be held on Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25.
The race everyone will be watching is the 1 1/4-mile Breeders' Cup Classic, which will see Curlin, Casino Drive, Duke of Marmalade, Henrythenavigator, Go Between, Colonel John, and Raven's Pass run against one another in a bid for the $5 million purse.
In other races, Ginger Punch won last year's Distaff, and will defend her title in the Ladies' Classic. Indian Blessing, last year's Juvenile Fillies winner, has been pre-entered in the both the Sprint and the Filly and Mare Sprint, in which she is expected to start.
