Magical Fantasy won her third straight graded stakes score this past weekend after coming off the pace to win the $350K John Mabee Stakes. The four-year-old daughter of Diesis also won a birth in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf in November via the “win and you’re in” rule for the race.

Magical Fantasy came out of the final turn wide breaking from the pack and ran down the final furlong with relative ease and grace. She ended up winning by a length and improved her record to 5-4-0 in 16 starts. She also pushed her earnings up to nearly $860K.

Starting the race as the morning line favorite, the winner paid $6.40, $4.20, and $2.80. The exacta (3-7) returned $46.40, and the trifecta (3-6-7) paid out $259.20.
