His last two have been impressive victories in the Gotham Stakes and the Wood Memorial. He’ll bring his 3-1-4 record into the Kentucky Derby looking to add on to his $816,000 in earnings, and perhaps get some revenge on Pioneerof the Nile after losing to him in the Robert B. Lewis Stakes.

On April 21 he posted a five-furlong workout of 1:01 3/5 on the Churchill track. It was the eighth fastest of the day. He will be ridden by regular jockey Joe Talamo and could surprise the deep field on May 2.

His pedigree is a rich one with the 5-1-1 (in 11 starts) Steven Got Even as his sire. That bloodline includes Seattle Slew and Secretariat. He is out of Meguia, with a bloodline that includes Mr. Prospector and Adlibber.
