Tune into ESPN June 30 during SportsCenter’s “My Wish” series at 6PM to view a young boy’s wish of meeting Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner Smarty Jones.

Three Chimneys Farm and the Kentucky region of the Make-A-Wish Foundation teamed up to grant nine-year-old Patrick Munro of Greenlawn, New York who suffers from hydrocephalus and, as a result, is blind and hearing impaired, his wish of meeting Smarty Jones.

The Munro family spent several days in Kentucky in April, the first day of his visit Patrick and his family were invited to Three Chimneys Farm, where he got to meet Smarty Jones.

Three Chimneys Farm owner Robert Clay helped the young boy pet and interact with the infamous champion Smarty Jones. Patrick was given a special tour of the farm, met several of Smarty Jones’s babies and best of all, the day Munro visited was declared Patrick Munro Day in the town of Midway.

"We at the farm were as pleased to meet Patrick as he was to meet Smarty Jones,” said Clay. “Pat is such an inspiration to us in how he has overcome adversity in his life time and time again. If more people shared the same attitude as Patrick does, the world would be a better place.”

The next day of the Munro family visit was spent at Churchill Downs where they enjoyed a day of meeting jockeys and listening to horses run.

Make-A-Wish Foundation has five kids whose sports-related wishes will be televised on ESPN’s SportsCenter series.

After the visit to the farm and race track the family was taken to the Kentucky Horse Park where Patrick spent time visiting a therapeutic riding facility called Central Kentucky Riding for Hope.

Finally, on his last day, John Greely welcomed the young boy, Patrick Munro in his box at Keeneland where he was also presented a key to the city of Lexington.
