Rachel Alexandra will be making her highly anticipated return this weekend in the Mother Goose Stakes at Belmont Park. She will face only four others in the Mother Goose, and will likely be a 1-5 favorite by post time. It will be her first race since beating the boys in the 2009 Preakness Stakes, and she’ll be looking for her seventh straight win in the five-furlong Mother Goose against a mediocre field. She will use this race as a prep for another run against the boys this summer, possibly in the Haskell Invitational Handicap.

The other fillies in the race against Rachel Alexandra will get some decent odds. Expect next favorite Flashing to likely get around 7-1. Malibu Player should be close to that number, and will likely be at 9-1. Look for Don’t Forget Gil to get somewhere around 16-1, while longshot Hopeful Image will be at around 200-1.
