Ridden by a very confident Elvis Trujillo, Presious Passion blew away the competition when he nailed a 1 ¼ length victory in the $200,000 W.L McKnight Handicap (Gr. II) on Saturday.
The race took place on the Turf Track at Calder Race Course.
However, the always closeby Kiss the Kid ran slightly off the rail in the 1 ½ mile, narrowing in on second and sometimes third place. Then, in the final strides Presious Passion drew away and Kiss the Kid had to stick with third place.
Presious Passion, who carried 116 pounds, had an extremely large payout of $136.20, $51.60 and $22.80.
