The Transylvania (Grade 3) is the first of 16 graded slated to be run this spring at the Lexington, Ky., track. This race has a field of nine 3-year-olds, including Canadian Grade 3 Prussian who is the favorite in this race. Prussian will make his first start in five months, his last race being the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.

This 1 1/16 mile turf race is the feature of what looks to be an excellent opening day program. Keeneland will also feature the $500,000 Ashland Stake (Grade 1) on Saturday April 5 and on April 12 their biggest prep race the $750,000 Toyota Bluegrass Stakes (Grade 1).
