The $100,000 Real Good Deal Stakes (Gr.1) will have the Fusaichi Pegasus gelding Royal Punisher as the morning line favorite (9-2). The promising 3-year-old set blazing fractions in his debut and went on to a 2 1/2-length win over Star Redeemer in his maiden at Hollywood Park on July 11.

Royal Punisher kept on rolling to the easy win over Star Redeemer, who was at his best to win. Royal Punisher earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 98 in that race.

The main competition should come from M One Rifle (5-2).  He is also coming off a maiden win at Hollywood Park. Another horse, Escalon, won as a two-year-old but has come up short in his third year. He debuted as a winner last summer and hasn’t raced since December.
