The 56^th running of the Grade 1 $300,000 Go For Wand Stakes is set to get underway on Sunday August 2. Three horses are getting low odds, and two of them share the favorite position at 4-5. Cocoa Beach will carry 121 lbs, three more than the other favorite Seventh Street. Cocoa Beach had an impressive second-place finish behind Zenyatta last fall in the Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic.

Carrying 120 lbs is Miss Isella, who comes in close to the favorites at 9-5. She has recent wins in the Fleur de Lis and Louisville Distaff. At 8-1 is the Todd Pletcher colt Spritely. He will carry 114 lbs and will have Edgar Prado aboard in the mount.

The longshots are 20-1 Color Me Up and 15-1 Weathered. Weathered has wins this winter in the Rare Treat Handicap and Grade III Next Move this past winter at Aqueduct Race Track.
