After a relatively controversy free World Series of Poker, Day 1D of the 2009 WSOP Main Event has found itself in the middle of some frustration. After two starting days that barely filled half of their expected capacity (Days 1A and 1B), Day 1C saw a much larger field and now Day 1D has officially sold out. Full. No more.
Although, to be fair, the players who got shut out of playing did so because they waited until the last possible minute to register. So, in a manner of speaking it is self-inflicted.
Sell-out capacity is unofficially about 2,800, which would put the four day total just short of 7,000 and put a smile on WSOP Commish Jeffrey Pollack's face. Well, minus the people who are grumbling about getting shut out.
Anyway, there are Team Bodog members out there among the masses, including Bodog Poker pro David Williams, and we are determined to find them. We can tell you that this is list of those who survived Day 1C:
Justin Bonomo – 103,425
Alper "ThunderFX" Sar – 80,450
Brandy "parligod" Savage – 63,825
Jean Robert Bellande – 51,950
Matthew "21msd21″ Doyle – 38,525
Jonathan "TrueButcher" Gross – 34,075
Steve "TheHesse" Hesse – 21,775
